She would lie in my lap under the moonlight ,
her hairs spread like the weaving sea.
Her mischievous eyes and that odd little smile,
with hand in hand she will be all mine.
I would ask her ' will it stay like this forever ? ,
this moment , you and I ? '
She would laugh and say ' Forever ' but her
Voice would come in whisper.
And I would let out a sigh for I know
forever is a big lie.

Those dances in the rain her being the beauty,
and me being her only sight.
Those playful kisses , those warm and long hugs,
me being her only want.
Her not having enough of me and filling my
poor heart with delight.
Again I would ask her ' will it stay like this forever ?,
this moment , you and I ? '
She would again laugh in her naughty way and say,
' Forever' but I know that's a big lie.


Those long walks hand in hand , those wonderful
moments of sunrise where together we stand.
You than kiss me on my lip and say ' Good bye ,
Will see you again tonight. '
I hold your hand with hope and ask ' will it stay like
this forever , you and I ? '
You hug me and whisper ' Forever ' and disappear
from my sight , I know you lie.
But that's okay with me cause ' Forever is a wonderful lie '.
