Golden drop of sunlight
I got three plants and let them grow today
With nothing but water and a pot
Not to mention the lack of sunlight
That burns so bright
And the already withered leaves
That droop and flop
I provided them
With the dregs of love
I had left in my heart
And the bare necessities
That nurtured from afar
But that wasn't enough
To make them grow
To give them the life they needed
To flourish and bloom
In the only world they know
"So let this be your lesson", said the sunflower to me
"To never make room for the love that you can't give
With the bare necessities
No room to forgive
Not before you know who you are
And then you can observe those beauty's from afar"
