THE DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND
The sky bleeds fire, a canvas torn and red,
Where once the sun shone, now only death is bred.
The earth, a grave, churns with a bitter sigh,
As shattered dreams and broken bodies lie.
A symphony of screams, a chorus of despair,
Echoes through the smoke-filled, poisoned air.
Young faces, etched with terror, old with pain,
Reflect the madness, the unending rain.
Of shrapnel's kiss and bullets' cruel embrace,
Leaving behind an empty, hollow space.
Where laughter...
