Life
In a tick of a clock you changed your feelings about me, my emotions were thrown on the floor, left in the cold. you closed the door on all the years we grew old. Hatred originated from your ugly core, the lust leaking from your left eye have me in a tight chokehold. you're proud of stepping out on your wife, I see the hunger on your lips for adultery, the tickle in your pants to expose your inner demons you locked away for all those years, for a minute I thought you threw away those keys, all along it was hidden safely amongst the skeletons in your closet. You played your moves quite well. I should've smelt deceit the minute my feet hit our bedroom floor, pain blocked out the sound of my feet, my emotions were thrown everywhere. I still search for the sunrise in your right eye, I know it's no longer there, but I painted a portrait in my brain, I designed it to betray myself, keep myself planted in a room, in a marriage, in front of a man that is no longer mine to fight for. you played your cards like a pro would.
