Pastel pinks, apricot oranges, iconic yellows,
Colours of the coming spring,
In the park they'd bloom to life
And to the sun they'd sing,
Gentle butterflys rest upon it
While bees ring the bell of its bonnet,
I remember the beauty of the sunlit daffodil
As it stood upon your windowsill.
