You get it late

Very late, that you will be out of your senses crying in agony

You will be used to the utmost limit

Your heart would have dried to a parched land

That you won’t have any more love for yourself

You get it llate

That even when you have given your heart, love which is more than enough, your entire self, it won’t help you to make ‘that’ person stay in your life.

Your love, your time, the care, the money or anything is not enough.

You get it late.

Very late

That they would have walked away for reasons, you would have never imagined.

You get it late

You are not even a grain of sand or a strand of hair for the person you felt was your soul.

You get it late when crying on the pillow

That the one for whom you stood against your whole world leaves you for nothing.

There’s no way back now from shedding silent tears

As they will be posing for happy pictures with the ones they left you for.
