THE TEARS OF A GIRAFFE
The country is falling,
Because the leaders are failing.
The people are agitating,
But the leaders are hesitating.
The county stumbles,
Every time a leader fumbles.
The economy struggles,
The health sector is in crumbles.
Education suffers,
Without scholarship offers.
Agriculture is abandoned,
Mining is where all eyes turned.
Dignity of labour is long forgotten,
Because the youths are all rotten.
Terrorism, the order of the day,
And the poor are left to decay.
The Giraffe takes a long stride,
Towards them to be their guide.
She holds her head up so her eyes,
Sees where the problem lies.
She blames the leaders,
Not sparing the followers.
A feather will not on its own fly,
United, we stand. Divided, we fall.
Let's put our feathers together,
So Nigeria can soar higher.
