The first rain of the year,
Has always got me feeling some type of way.
The breeze that comes with it,
Is like a toddler let into the fields
After days of isolation.

It goes around filling my heart
With a certain kind of weightlessness,
Convincing me even for a little while,
That my problems do not exist.

I love the feeling the first rain of the year brings.
It shows me that you can exist
Outside of the harsh reality
Your mind has created.
