I thought that it wouldn't hurt to still be friends...
But I guess ignorance really is just bliss...
And I made a thousand and one excuses
To defend you from my mind -
Ignored my soul's black and blue bruises -
But I guess that's what being the devil's advocate is like...
And even with the blood still in my mouth,
I want to apologize if I caused you any pain...
Even then, I know without even a single doubt
That I guess I'd do it all over again...
