even though I was always the
one who cleaned up your mess.

When things didn’t go your way
you always made sure I was
the one who felt your pain.

When you were angry
I was the one who you’d fight with
because you needed someone to blame
for it.

And despite all the hurt you me through,
I still stay because of those fake
‘I love yous.’
