like yearned for it

freedom is here to pay

centuries of bent spines
after all the dance and dine
and revelry of tyrannical tow
we recall the stark night
extinction of things clear and bright
was it not just a second back
when we saw the clear dawn
ruin the dine of our taskers
turned them heel takers
and ushered us into a new morn?

after all the resignation
freedoms dawn was the compensation
that we live to tell the tale
of freedoms bail
of that fortune day
when on that dark bay
a streak of light cuts through nights hunchback
our present song hits the mark
'freedom has casted its Ray
on our dark and gloomy bay
we live to recall the D-day
when the night gave way for dawn
and on that newly born morn
we knew that freedom had come to stay'
