Happy Women's day?
#WritcoPoemChallenge
#WomensDay
They say scars never fade
And hers never did
The pains of yesterday
Run so vividly in her mind
They forgot
But she never can
The hands down her skirt
That like rivers ran
They so easily moved on
And walked with time's sands
But in that moment she remains
Being touched by unwanted hands
Epochs and centuries will pass
And memories of her will fade
But never will anyone blot
The hatred that within her they laid
An apology is not enough
And sorry is a dying word
Nobody can try to act
As if her screams they never heard
The slow demented motion
Of their bodies, ignorant of her shrills
Will always run amuck
And prevent her having thrills
Their cold, lifeless countenances
Will run riot in her mind
And cause her so much anguish
Such that happiness she'll never find
To you its all behind
To her its right there
And it arrives every night
Like an unending nightmare
Happy women's day to the broken
To those who cannot escape
The hard prison gates
Of being victim to rape.
