Things are different
Sitting, waiting, not being able to sleep
wind and rain they're stronger than we know.
It changed me it truly did something to me. As I look daily at the destruction that it made it hurts me.
You know that it could have worse but I just can't forget it.
It wasn't like Katrina not even 911 This Strom took something out of me.
I can't seem to snap back from this storm.
It's taking me a while to fully get a all night sleep I see it all the time over and over.
Idalia made me question a lot of things I can't go back to what I once knew.
The things that I didn't appreciate when I should've.
All the things that could have happen didn't.
And by the time it got to me it was light rain, slow winds but still destructive enough to take a part of me with it.
I realize the things that matter and the things that don't.
The things that are real and things that are not.
And those things that are real do not matter to me.
