I Want to Lead Like Jesus Does
I want to lead like Jesus does —
Not with pressure, but an invitation,
A gentle nudge towards what is right,
A path laid out, yet still unseen,
Where choices bloom in every step,
Whether winning or losing, both are keys,
Unlocking doors to wisdom's depths.
I want to guide with open hands,
Offering light, but not only one way,
Allowing falls, allowing flight,
As lessons learned in day or night.
Even when the weight is heavy still,
I'll place a challenge at the door,
Not to break, but to refine,
To help grow, to give, and serve more.
For love, I'll give without a price,
A love not earned, but freely found,
Yet sometimes cloaked in mystery,
Not always what its dreamed to be.
But there I'll stand, through joy and pain,
Never leaving, always near,
A constant heart, a steady flame,
A love that conquers every fear.
I want to see the strength within,
To call it out, to lift it high,
To know purpose that's found, not told, a way through me shown,
The path that leads to meaning's core.
I'll ask for kindness, service too,
For hands to heal, and hearts to care,
Though not an easy road to choose,
I know within, the strength is there.
I want to lead like Jesus does —
Not needing others to follow close,
But hoping with a heart that's full,
That all will walk the path of light,
And find in me a leader true,
Who loves, who guides, and still lets go,
A hand that points, and never shuns,
A love that leads back home.
