The Divorce.
The pen in my hand trembled
as if an unseen force got hold of my fingers
I stare at her face
Frigid.Bland.Cold.
She bits her lips
aware of my gaze.
The past six years flash before me
like a painted dream,surreal.
Deep conversations.Belly aching laughs.
Cuddles that you can't get enough of.
Long kisses and welcome hugs
Where did it all go wrong?
I look at her again.
The day she wore an ivory dress
looking at my eyes she said "Yes!"
My human.My world.My wife.
But then again something isn't right
We are like wrong puzzle pieces
Unable to complete eachother.
We do belong but not together.
The butterflies in our stomach are long gone
And I guess they aren't coming anytime soon.
We don't hate each other but nor do we love.
Somethings are bound to be over
Like me and her.
Sometimes you have to let go
but it won't be easy though.
I sign the papers in front of me
"You are now legally divorced"said them
I glanced at her again
And left the room with a thousand words unsaid.
