Walking at night is different to the day.
A shadow in a day is a shadow.
At night it is whatever you don't want.
Trees grow arms feeling for life.
Lights reflect off eyes searching for food.
Running water sounds to want you.
They are just shadows you tell yourself.
Pray they are.
But what if.
That branch just moved I saw.
Stop it get out of your head.

That's it finds the light.
It's safe in the light.
I hate this walk but it's the quickest.
Only five minutes.
What was that noise behind me?
Feet pumping don't look back.
A vampire is coming.
My door up ahead.
Faster feet faster.
In the door I go.
Breathing hard.
Are you ok son?
Safe at last.
