FREEDOM.
A seven letter word we are tricked to think we have when in reality we don't.
A feeling that most ,if not all long for but in reality might never have.
In a society that wants to dictate everything from dress code to body type from accepted language to accepted complexion from field of study to level of study.
A society that is constantly trying to cancel out individuality and replace it with inferiority.
setting poor, pointless and unrealistic standards of beauty.
According to society you have to be
skinny but not to skinny cause then you are malnourished.
thick but not fat cause then you'll be obese.
tiny waist but not to tiny cause then it will be abnormal .
big boobs but not too big cause it will no longer be attractive.
big butt but not too huge cause guess what they do not want to see that.
A society that associates a person's worth with physical appearance .
constantly making it known to girls like me, girls who have small boobs small butt and tiny bodies, girls with chubby bodies that we do not fit into the "standards of beauty"
Want to know how?
I'll tell you.
The music we listen to is constantly describing bodies that we don't fit into ,most liked pictures on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook are of people with Bodies that fit into the "standard of beauty"created by society.
not only that ,the movies and reality shows also show is that we do not fit in.
A society so obsessed with reflecting plastic as the new real.
Despite all of this the few of us that choose to love ourselves are still criticised.
choose to be YOU and you're weird to society ,dare to live differently and you're an outcast.
with all this going on do you still think you are free?
the sad part is our level of ignorance is greater than the knowledge we have .
In such a society I dare to be DIFFERENT.
