Taking my hand and taking me into the darkness in search of a brighter tomorrow.
I'm holding them, I'm encasing them in my arms.
Never giving up…

Your words of encouragement left me million questions but one answer,
As it seems, it had been waiting patiently for me to acknowledge,
The answer is true, yes we are alive to survive.

You pushed me in deep oceans without fear,
I was at the edge of a cliff ready to surrender,
But you showed me the light that was held by the darkness,
With your words i was bold to swim with sharks just to survive.

The tunnel was so long i can still feel the suffocation,
My loud cry had filled the empty vessels of the streets,
I was running away from my shadow,
From the darkest hour to reach dawn,
You were right there waiting to hold me tight.

You were there to witness me toss at night in pain,
You stayed when the world departed with me,
An answer to my questions,
It's you and you alone.

I used to wonder why i was brought up,
Why my emotions also show in your presence,
I was confused by the looks you would give me,
But now i got my answers through the little mirror you left on the bedside.

Remember how much i hated the tone of my voice,
But every morning we would sing in the shower together,
Now believe me when i say that song is my strength,
You are my strength,
Angels are just humans coated in black.
