Write a poem about a time that your illusions of someone or something were shattered.
I was in love with the
way you looked at me,
The way you stood up
for me n only me,
The way you smiled
at me like there was
no one else in the room,
The way you made me
feel like I was your world,
Too late did I realize
you looked at every girl
and smiled the same,
You worked the room
the same as you did me,
Never realized I wasn't the
only girl in the room for you,
A part of me still exists that
wants to believe
the lies woven in my mind,
For that is the image I have of you
entrusted in my heart and soul,
Never believing that you were no
more than an illusion of my own.
