The season of torment is a stage where the soul is trained to master his offenders. He takes no pleasure in them when all the stones are thrown towards him- without love, they try to cage him into their ways of living.

They're manipulating and prejudiced- they don't want growth and they fight when they see it coming- resentful and bitter they cage their own soul.

We are dead only when we subject ourselves to outside resentment and torture (in so doing we die to the flesh but growth took its course)- it's not a desirable...
