To my Sun
Dear sunshine,
Good morning my dear.
I've missed you so much,
and your smile that brightens my day.
recently my life has been gloomy.
without your warmth, my days are cold
without my sun, it's been pouring rain.
and I hate rain.
I tried to seek shelter indoors,
with other sources of heat, and light
but nothing compares to the sun.
I understand that things are not the same as they used to be
but I know you're still there behind the clouds
maybe one day they'll part
and I'll see the clear skies again.
I miss you my sun,
but for now, I'll just stand outside as it showers,
crying away all the remaining pain,
hoping that one day, I'll learn to love the rain.
