Anxiety
/æŋˈzaɪəti/
A whirlwind of thoughts in my head,
Heart racing, legs tapping, nails bitten in dread.
Fear soaring through my body, doubts whispering loud,
Fueling worries, what ifs, all the wrong things allowed.

But I know this feeling, it's not foreign or new,
Anxiety is back, like an unwelcome friend, it's true.
But I won't let it take over, it's getting exhausting,
With every breath, I reclaim my power, no more doubting.

Anxiety won't take me this time, I take my stand,
For I won't be the friend it plays with, hand in hand.
