I remember that day vividly,
The day my heart beat faster that it's normal 2.0. beats, the day adrenaline rushed through my body giving me a blood rush that made me smile, and the day I felt normal, where I felt okay, where I felt real.

That day came with a quiet morning and
an orange sunrise hiding from the clouds, a silent wave crash that didn't want to disturb my sleep, and a beautiful morning chirp from the radiating birds themselves.

The day came with African lilies, stolen smiles, tiny head nods, little hand brushes, long Saturday drives and it came with you.

With your melanin-flawless skin,
You blue bed covers, and your artistic sites that could make mother earth give up a field of her own bed of sunflowers just to see you twirl, in sunshine and vines.

You are my sunset,
My okay,
A breather,
A stabilizer,
A moment in time,
And a heartbeat.

And with you I feel and have these moments. Big moments, tiny moments, but moments that make feel better, that make me believe that I exist just for you, moments that are filled with exciting infinite glories and moments where I give all I have just to see you smile.

Its moments like these that build a lifetime that I wanna hold on too and never let go.
