Tell me why the skies are dark...
did I lose my way?
why didn't I run home faster?
I guess I should stay
The blue dotted butterfly...
distracted my mind
if I do the same thing again...
who's there to remind?
The sun has abandoned me...
I surrender to the dark
I'll be brave tonight...
I'll make my mark
The stars are on my side...
I have my guiding light
I hope my prayers can conquer fear...
I hope I'll get through the night

she took a handful of stars, threw them in the sky
See the girl with a lantern...
her mane dance with the wind though she can't fly
See the girl with a lantern...
with fire in her eyes, tears running wild
See the girl with a lantern...
heart of a woman, though she's a child

I hear the wolves howling...
they all want to feast
so are we sometimes...
unleashing our inner beast
I'm a child, I know very well...
but I won't fall for your tears
I'm beyond my years, I know about hell
hurt me I'm fine, but the scar never disappears...
I'm walking alone, not sure what's infront,
don't worry, the legend says I'm good with facing my fears..
Just because there's no war it doesn't mean my blade is blunt ,

took a handful of glitters, threw them in a dark canvas
see the girl with a lantern...
she loved her masterpiece, she called them stars
see the girl with a lantern...
heart fragile as a glass unlike her mind,
see the girl with a lantern...
she leaves no trace behind.
