Australian story
I'm headed down this hiking trail

I've strapped on my old backpack

I'm trading all of the city lights

For the Australian bushman's track

A country boy back in the bush

In the dust and flies outback

Thunder then starts rollin in

As the lightning sends a crack

Country folk are all down to earth

And always got a descent yarn

Many have lost all they've owned

As a bushfire has no alarm

Australian farmers need a fair go

As the droughts are so harsh and dry

Then along comes another bushfire

Just to add another tear to their eye

Picking fields and droving cattle

Mustering the great outback

From a rodeo to a country show

A stockyard whip then goes crack

There are many fire-fighters and volunteers

Hard Yakka and Akubra hart

Working hard and drinking beer

In an ancient country that's sacred to the red yellow and black.
