Loneliness
Loneliness to me, means no calls or texts,
No incoming or outgoing to distract from the rest.
Just me, myself, and I in peaceful quiet,
An opportunity to reflect and explore my inner life.
It's a chance to befriend myself and truly see,
What makes me tick and what sets me free.
To discover what really makes my heart sing,
And to learn to embrace the beauty that it brings.
So when loneliness comes knocking at my door,
I no longer fear what it has in store.
For I've learned to use this time to my advantage,
To get to know myself and make peace with my baggage.
Loneliness is not a curse, but a gift,
A chance to uplift and give my soul a lift.
So I welcome it with open arms, you see,
And make use of the time to simply be, with me.
