I pondered last
Sitting on the tiles,
breathing the stench
of acid and spilt peppermint while
staring at my harrowed reflection
on a piece of sharpened will,
I pondered again—
when will this end?
The rain started pouring
along with my tears,
as if the sky felt
my heartache
and cried with me.
I pondered again—
when will it end?
A thunder roared at the behest
of the storm as if to deliver
my sonorous lamentations
across dimensions where
the world was not cruel to me.
Stepping out in the rain,
I felt each drop on my being
mourn my stolen innocence
and sooth a broken soul.
I looked up with vague hope,
I pondered—
do I want the seasons to end?
