This poem is for the amazing father
of two amazing daughters

Thirty years ago,
He kept aside his musical dreams
He started working
So that he can pay his daughter's fees

He always wanted to buy himself new things
But hardly he used to express
Instead, he used to save that money
To buy his daughters a new Diwali dress

Often, he was questioned by cynical people
"You have only daughters? and no sons?"
He replies, "Yes, and they earn, love and respect
their father more than your sons.."

In this male-dominated world
He educated his daughters
For his family
He overcame all those obstacles

Today, he is going to get retired
The world thinks that he is tired
But to achieve his unfulfilled dreams
He is now hired

So, on his retirement
Yes, we must celebrate
But, for his new journey
