Some animals spend their whole lives waiting for their owner to get back from work.
My dog spends her whole life waiting for me to leave my room.
She lays in front of my door, waiting for any signs of life inside my 4 walls, caged by a wooden door that keeps me hidden from the world.
Some animals live in glass, others outside in the free air, and some in cages.
Some humans live like animals, pigs and cows, right? Sure, but some humans live like the caged bird.
They know the way out, but they just can't quite get there.
My dog might wait her life away, wait until the day that door opens and I get up out of this cage I locked myself into.
And with no judgment at all, she will jump up and lick my legs to welcome me back again.
