Stuck inside a little box
wishing I was Goldilocks
roaming through a forest wild and green.
Social media is not
for the free and happy lot,
it is full of people rude and mean.

It’s a place where people share
awful things without a care
for the social graces history knew.
It’s where I became aware
of the crimes that people dare
to commit to simply get a view!!

Mental illness is the rage
for the famous in the cage,
and the disillusioned call them great.
Lacking skills to earn a wage,
intellect cannot engage
in a conversation without hate.

I prefer a simple mind,
nature and my soul aligned.
Media holds nothing I desire.
In the real world I can find
neighbors who are good and kind;
face to face we visit by a fire.
