Life feels devoid of meaning to me,
And I thought love was the missing key,
But luck has not been on my side,
So I've decided to change my stride.

I have been gifted everything by God,
Yet, my heart and soul still feel flawed,
I don't want anything but peace and happiness,
And I vow to make each day count with diligence.

But I've been pondering something lately,
If I make myself happy, will it make me empty?
Emotions give life meaning when they're required,
And happiness can make that gift expire.

I tried to love, to find that missing piece,
But one couldn't see, and the other couldn't release,
I can't keep reliving those beautiful moments,
It's time for me to let go of love's atonements.

So I give up on searching for love's true meaning,
I'll find joy in the small things, my heart will be gleaming.
