The Seven Seas, The Seven Siblings
Of Father & Mother Ocean,
Brothers Artic, North & Caspian
Vying For Right Of Succession

Relentlessly Pushing & Pulling Their Briny Load
Across Global Expanse & Way Beyond
Competing, Quibbling As Only Brothers Can
The First To Deposit Their Spume Topped Swell.

Whispering Waves, A Task To Complete
Loudly Rushing In, A Noiseless Retreat
Teasingly, Caressing The Shoreline
Like A Thirsty Cat Lapping Milk

2) THE EVER CHANGING SHORELINE.

Sand Softly Golden
Unashamedly Naked Shingle
Toes Get Wet, All A Tingle!

Waves Roll In, Crashing The Shoreline
Welcome Nature's Loyal Housekeeper
Tirelessly Plucking Out Unwelcome Detritus
Just In Time For The Outgoing Tide

Partly Devoured Sealife Carcasses
Abandoned By Over Zealous Seagulls
A Moment To Mourn, A Watery Grave Awaits
Taken On The Currents By Earth's Omnipotent Energy..

3) THE FINAL JOURNEY

Tide Drawing In, Time Running Out
If Re incarnated, Who Would I Be
King Canute, Of Course, On His Throne By The Sea!

My Final Shoreline Meander
Tide comes In, Time Runs Out
I Shed A Tear To Be Fossilized
With Memories Gone Long Before

The Mirrored Rockpools Exposed
Nature's Crèche To The Seas Little ones
Passing Their Day With Battle Worn Cr.abs
Before Returning Home On The Outgoing Tide.

Crumbling Sandcastles Forlorn Battlements
Long Since Abandoned By Little Soldiers
I Will Miss The Roar Of Deafening Silence,
Replaced By The Quiet Reality Of Noisey Civilisation

Goodbye, Nature's Balancing Act, Yin & Yang
I Will Return, But Next Time In The Guise Of Ashes
Carefully Sprinkled On The The Outgoing Tide.
Home Again, To Swim With Seahorses & Mermaids......
