A LETTER TO MY DADDY
Dear Daddy,
Your wishes for me, I see and know them.
As days go by, you get older,
But you care too much for me that you don't see it.
Your hands and feet, full of scars,
You care too much that you don't notice them.
Your eyes go fine and red cuz of sleepless nights,
But nothing moves you.
Your tummy, sore empty,
But you put on a smile and bear the pain.
Your clothes, stitched countless times,
But you will stitch a few more time to buy me a new dress.
Thank you Daddy for your sacrifices.
You are my hero.
Thank you for punishing my wrongs and pating my back for my good deeds.
You show me that life is not a bed of roses but hardwork pays.
You forgive my forgive my ignorance.
You stand to discipline my naughtiness
You give people reasons to envy me at my little age.
You bring yourself low so that I can be elevated.
You teach me to honour my integrity
You stand to protect me even with all my attitudes
'Nothing is hard for you when you put more effort', you'll say.
Thank you so much dad, I will make you proud.
