Every Breath I Breathe
Every breath I breathe, quiet as a dark winter night.
Every word I speak, loud as a riot when standing up for one’s rights.
Every breath I breathe, heavy as the burden sorrow sings.
Every word I utter, as a prophecy tomorrow brings.
Every breath I breathe, gentle as a summer breeze.
Every word I shout, bitter as the cold in a blizzards freeze.
Every breath I breathe, calm as a bomb. Every word I scream, like the world’s being held in the middle of my palm.
Every breath I breathe, if you’re silent enough, you can hear it.
Every word unspoken, if you’re quiet enough, hear my spirit.
Every breath I breathe, today could be my last.
Every word I speak as if my future is my past.
Every breath I breathe, by the oxygen in my lungs supply.
Every word I say, heard, not seen, invisible to the naked eye.
