The Foredoomed
Awaken by the moonbeam
I strode past the rose garden...
Not knowing what lead me where..
As I felt the ground harden
The clouds deprived me of the last bit of light
As I stood there with fear, terrible fear
Unsure of what I was wearing or doing
The tears made my vision unclear
The air was heavy with despair...
Carrying a familiar stench
My squinted eyes were opened wide
Only to notice the blood on the bench
I took a step behind then began to look back
A trail of blood leading to my foot tracks
The clouds parted and the moon shed light
To what I was blind to, that horrible night
My feet soaking in a puddle of blood
Which I thought was the Midnight dew
Not warm at all, but cold as ice
Freezing time and everything new
The clock stopped ticking, thunder ceased
I ran back to the start, dragging my numb weight
Vision blurry and tears running down my face
With no one beside me not able to think straight
My cold pale fingers held the door knob of a familiar room
Like something powerful, like a memory of the past lead me
the moon illuminated a part of the room and I saw someone lying there
I hesitantly went close to find out who could it be
My realization jolted me, my dreams and hopes for the future shattered
As I found myself lying there, tangled in the white sheets...
That slowly turned crimson as my blood went through it..
My enraged cries had never reached the streets
I know what I am now, a mystery it is
Some would call me a disgrace for running away
Buried within the walls by that sinner's own hands
My story and the truth, with the wind they go away.
Now my fate is sealed, forever to conjure the halls...
Haunting him and the mansion he owned
Standing by his bed side as he breathed his last
In the same room where I once roamed
Foredoomed!
