This is a poem written to a character from another character in one of my stories, but I also personally feel this way towards family members. I hope that this poem can remind you of other loved ones and that someone feels this way about you.


I cannot describe the peace you bring me.
When I'm broken, and I feel lost and alone,
You are there for me.
I love our hugs.
You're strong embrace...
The whole world could collapse on us, and we would still be safe.
I feel the warmth of your love,
And I hear your constant heartbeat,
And I know that everything is ok.
Your love acts like wings...
Made of soft and gentle feathers,
Yet strong and indestructible like dragon wings.
Your love is a sanctuary during my days of hurt.
Your understanding, reassuring words and gentle, sweet voice brings me an eternity's worth of peace.
And I can only hope
That everything I've said to you
You feel the same way about me.
I want to be there for you as much as you have been for me.
Please,
Never forget,
I love you.
