blind
have we been blind?
as neither could see,
all that could've been.
and are we blind still?
as neither can see,
all that mustn't be.
our being has been,
abused and used.
leaving us confused,
at times amused too.
but, how long until,
we both see dawn.
when the sun will
pinch our souls
and squint our eyes.
the souls we don't have,
and eyes we don't use.
i often miss being me
and say, it's you
that misses me.
and
i can't hold myself,
in the deludge,
of what i become,
in search of what,
i'll never be.
