I thought he was "the one"
from his voice & his words
to the way he did all the right things & said all the right words
I thought I found "the one",
I almost fell in love again
or maybe I did
(denial is a river in Egypt)
but then he changed
I thought I met "the one",
bragged him off to my friends
"he's different" I said
but I was wrong
He's just a man.
