WAY BACK.

The days of slate and chalk,
Are not easy to erase,
They hold memories,
Of my childhood.
even though it became so scarce at some point that the pupils had to present their work by writing on the concrete floor.
The students desks were also another kind of issue on it own.
This affected our school uniforms in many ways and the school uniform turned like a rug. Per the cause of that, we always made sure the uniforms were washed every day. We had no choice, so we only had to go by that. Some times we just leave it unwashed and still wear it for a number of days. That's what makes me wonder comparing to the life of today's, and it's funny for sure. We were just young after all; what do we know?
We had it in those days that the board used by the teachers for teaching always had to be painted black so that the writings on it could appear clearer. So we happened to do this by extracting the black powder from an old-used lithium battery after mixing them in water. This was so toxic to the health and unlike today's modern teaching equipment, there were no alternatives to that.
But these days, technology has improved and has helped alter education to a new level. It has taken it to the extent that a student can simply study from his/her comfort home without having to attend a classroom.
On the way back, we used physical objects like pebbles or stones, bottle tops, and the abacus in our calculation, unlike that, the calculator is now made available and has made the calculation easy in today's teaching and learning, all by the impacts of technology.
