The shining sapphire
& the enchanting amber
with the rest of jewels
turning her life somber,
lie scattered on her lap
Strangling her childhood
encaging her in a trap.

The innocent child
knew nothing of the turn
that her life just took
heading to a point of no return.

To her, 'twas a thing to fancy
just a mere little play
where all her 'good big elders'
took part in some or the other way!

With such an ignorance, she plays her best
but at last, watching her mother weep
gets bemused; in a childish voice utters
'No cry, next time you be me' & wipes her cheek.

The world she knew died that moment
& thus ended her 'cheerful play'
now the society's work was over
When she finally departed away.
