Jesus needs us to come to Him,
For only then, is He strong.
Each of us must arrive alone
And humbly seek His guidance.

If we are proud in any way,
He again perishes on the cross.
If we prove capable & arrogant,
His heart is broken as He lifts
the cross up.

As love surrounds us inside,
He comes quietly & knocks,
Waiting patiently for us to hear,
And respond to His gentle heart.

It wasn't only fish & loaves
That were broken for the hungry --
His soul and body were also --
Because He knew what must
transpire
When His mission on earth
had concluded.

He survived for the poor, lost,
And needy children of fear:
Those that needed Him most
Would not only never perish,
But would keep His heart
And soul alive for another
Chance at redemption for both.

Can't you hear Him groaning
Under the weight of the cross,
Crying also for the meek
To shelter & comfort Him?

Although He is our bridge
In times of fear & need,
We are His support when
He must face Calvary alone,
With His body & soul awash in sin.

When the world screams
For His ultimate death
And stark imprisonment;
While Pilate washes his hands
Of grief and ultimate despair,
Remember Him in Love.

Open your heart to Him,
While showing pity & remorse
For His shameful circumstances,
Then hold out your hand in hope
And He will reward your faithfulness
With love, honor and strength
While the world shines in glory!
