To be human
Why not start there?
I was scared
Scared for my heart
Scared for my mind
Sometimes we can see heartbreak from a mile away
It is not guaranteed or ensured
Yet we still hide, cower
From our hearts desire
It takes courage to allow ourselves to be happy
Because inherently we know it's temporary,
That somehow,somewhere, someday clouds will gather and the rain will fall
So forgive yourself for the love you hid from, the love you deserved
It is human to flea and fight for survival
You were only being what you are,
A work in progress,
Always learning,
Always searching for more
