dandelion
dusty flooboards, plastic chairs
little corners, we’d hide when we were scared
patterned carpet, and endless corridors
sense of knowing what you’re in for
but now you don’t

familiarity, sure of every step
lack of sanity, all running round instead
blast of music, singing with your friends
sunlight glowing, but you’re approaching the end

it’s unusual, oh it’s not right
being trapped at the crossroads
and knowing that by tonight
you’ll be changed person
illuminated by brand new light

any kind of difference, you’d flutter right away, flick of your whole life in a span of a day,
you’re not used to being, a dandelion
the harder that you blow, the more i float away, i just want to know, has this all gone to waste?
you’re not using to being a dandelion
you’ve got to learn to be a dandelion
then you’ll be fine
