The One Who Gave Way

There was one who made my pen take flight,
And gave me the courage to write.
With a gentle hand and a guiding light,
They showed me the way, in my sight.
They gave way to my voice, my words,
And helped me to overcome all my absurd,
Thoughts and doubts that lingered on,
And helped me to pen my first song.
With every word, with every line,
Their wisdom and guidance did intertwine,
With the passion in my heart that burned,
As my creative spirit began to churn.
And so, I write with gratitude,
For the one who helped me find my fortitude,
To chase my dreams, to take up the pen,
And tell the stories that lie within.
For without their encouragement, their trust,
I never would have found the courage,
To write with purpose, to write with intent,
And to share my words, with a true lament.
And so, I thank the one who gave way,
To fulfill my desire to write, every day,
And I hope that with every word I pen,
I make them proud, again and again.
