The Angler
In quiet places, cast a word,
Reel the line and bend the rod.
Watch for colour, darting shapes,
For fin and gill, as hand and quill.
There is no art in nets or cage.
Sing a submerged melody,
A shimmering of scales devine.
Play the siren, whirl the pool,
Claim the silt, a stirring lilt
To tame the heart...
Reel the line and bend the rod.
Watch for colour, darting shapes,
For fin and gill, as hand and quill.
There is no art in nets or cage.
Sing a submerged melody,
A shimmering of scales devine.
Play the siren, whirl the pool,
Claim the silt, a stirring lilt
To tame the heart...
