Death on the Mountain..
Death crept through the jagged rocks of the peak
His footsteps silent, but his presence stark
Casting shadows where life was once so meak

The mountain bare, with no song of a lark
Silent whispers echoed through the icy air
A reckoning, as the sun dipped and sparks

His grip tightened, death found no one to spare
No mercy for those who dared to ascend
On this lonely peak, life no longer fair

Yet in the shadow of death did life mend
New blooms emerged where the old ones had waned
Death on the mountain, a means to transcend.
