Death by Dirty Dishes
Dirty dishes in the sink,
Waited as a witness,
To the motionless body on the floor.
Her blood was spattered on the kitchen door.
Something in ink,
was written on paper by the sink.
He hoped for no witness,
but there I stood,
waited as a witness.
Her skin was no longer pink,
All I could see was dirty dishes,
the dirty dishes, the ink written on the paper, next to the sink.
I read the ink and my heart began to sink.
There I stood still,
waited as a witness,
A witness to the her motionless body
I prayed they would finally put him in the clink.
For his only reason he had for taking her life, was the dirty dishes she left in the sink.
