A LETTER TO MAHATMA GANDHI (From my childhood diary)
Dear Gandhiji,
My heartfelt pranam at your holy feet.
I am just a kid, I don't know how to write.
I wish I had a magic pen,
That could do any magic.
I heard that grandpa joined you in the freedom struggle.
But, I have never seen him and
I'll never see you in the future!
Grandma tells me her golden memories and shows your pictures.
I heard that you loved non-violence and
You were the worshipper of truth.
You showed the right path to million youths.
Oh, Divine soul!
Please shower your blessings from heaven
with knowledge and wisdom.
My pen will flow like a fountain and
it'll never hurt anyone.
