Thoughts of you
I’ve been sitting on the moon
On an empty day of June
Fixing up the stars
The same shape
Our love left my body scars
You were holding someone’s hand
And I was clearing up the view
You looked up and my excitement grew
As the night was set up for you

I’ve seen the clouds weep
As the ground didn’t perceive your feet
The sunset was sad when it realized
Your eyes weren’t synchronized
I’ve seen cities depopulate
As your departure would approximate
I tried to make them stay
No one would cooperate

Your eyes match the sky
Your body is paradise
Your heartbeat the finest tune
My lungs would clear
As I smelled your perfume
That smile could melt away
The coldest heart from miles away

Your soft reckless gaze
Caught me unguarded in a maze
Your innocent flirt
Ended up with you wearing my shirt
Our bodies clashed
Our feelings smashed
The rhythm of our love went through the clouds
Felt in heaven by the gods
As they heard our melody
Felt like the Earth was just for you and me

Your pillow was my chest
At times you couldn’t rest
Just an inch we had between
As you were knocking in my dreams
Unconsciously
I handed you the key
As every time you appeared
Colors got brighter
And pain would disappear

I had no need to learn geometry
Your lineaments were my lessons
I had no need for astrology
Heavenly skies in your eye’s reflections
The strength of a tornado I’ve seen
The confidence of a queen
And sweetness in between
Everything a man would dream

I thought it was a good way
To use up the ink of my pen
Before throwing it away
