A beautiful unconditional love
is something for which most of us yearn.
It has nothing to do with what we’ve done,
It’s a love we don’t have to earn.

We desire a love we can count on,
trusting our fragile heart will be protected.
We want to be loved continuously
and without the fear of being rejected.

Romantic love can barely comes close,
but it’s possible to lose that intangible spark.
And when that frequently fickle love ends,
we find ourselves sitting alone in the dark.
